Summer may have come and gone in a flash, but patio season is still in full swing! If you’re looking for a great patio to enjoy a drink and some delicious food on your lunch hour with collogues, happy hour with friends after work or evening date night with that special someone then Toronto’s ultra-chic Yorkville has you covered.

Here are some of the top 6 patios we think are a must-try in swanky Yorkville:

Hemmingway’s
This New Zealand pub is a true patio hot-spot in Yorkville as their multi-level patios are known for being open all-year-round, misted and shaded in the summer and heated and covered in the winter. This iconic Yorkville pub offers a casual ambiance, very reasonably priced drinks along with Kiwi décor throughout- even their patios have different names dedicated to its New Zealand roots.

Bar Reyna
Simple yet sophisticated, Bar Reyna offers a beautiful Mediterranean atmosphere in a timeless two-storey Victorian house for its guests. Its all-season patio, signature cocktails, great staff and delicious Mediterranean tapas make for a great place to gather and enjoy the vibe.

Trattoria Nervosa
Looking for a memorable experience? Trattoria Nervosa opened its doors in 1996 as Café Nervosa, later renamed, this Southern Italian eatery is a true local Yorkville hot-spot. Situated in a little yellow house nestled amongst the historic Yorkville architecture the rooftop patio offers its customers chic dining experiences with fabulous service and exceptional food.

The Pilot
Also known as ‘Flight Deck’, The Pilot is often arguably described as one of the best patios in the area. A multi-level bar famously known as a hang-out spot for writers and musicians offers a funky bar vibe for its customers. The Pilot’s name came from dedication to WWII fighter pilots. The Original Pilot Grill opened in 1944 on Yonge St. and legend says that regulars of the original Pilot Grill actually picked up the bar themselves and moved it to its current location.

La Société
A posh French bistro nestled within a little enclave on the Mink Mile on Bloor, offering guests an upscale classic French dining experience. Complete with delicious cocktails, outstanding raw bar, marble floors and even a stained-glass ceiling- guests rave about its ambiance and impeccable service. La Société has two spacious outdoor spaces: one at street level (ideal for people watching) and another on the second floor which overlooks the street.

One Restaurant
Owned by Chef Mark McEwan, this ritzy patio extending out of the chic Hazelton Hotel on Yorkville Avenue is definitely well known as a prestigious Yorkville dining spot. The lavish bar and gorgeous tree-lined, candle-lit patio offer guests a dining experience that keeps you there for hours. Local and/or organic ingredients flood the menu and can easily make any occasion a special one.
