With winter in full swing and now March has just begun, many of us are well into our countdown for spring to arrive! As the snow proves beautiful to look at and very exciting for our skiing and snowboarding pals, the rest of us might have already begun the search for other activities to occupy ourselves and our families- there’s only so many snowmen and soaked winter boots after tobogganing that we can handle amirite?

With March Break fast approaching, some Torontonians head north, some head south and others stay put! For those of you staying in the city over March Break, there are plenty of fun events and festivals taking place to guarantee a fun-filled, jam-packed week with family! Here’s what’s going on in the city:

  • The Royal Ontario Museum (March 14-22)
    Embark on a new and exciting adventure at the ROM over March Break! Step into the world of Winnie-the-Pooh as the ROM is transformed into the Hundred Acre Woods activity zone. Take your little explorers through the wonders of Winnie-the-Pooh, visit the creature corner, and participate in ROM storytime. Fun-filled activities for the whole family to enjoy!
  • March Break at The Zoo (March 14-22)
    Why not visit your furry four-legged friends at the Toronto Zoo this March Break?! In addition to seeing your favourite animals, this iconic Toronto attraction offers its visitors approximately 10Km of walking trails, animal feeding and even an enchanting night walk!
  • Sugar Shack TO at Sugar Beach (March 14-15)
    Who doesn’t love all things maple? The 5th annual Sugar Shack TO is returning to Sugar Beach and what better way to cure that sweet craving with some mouth-watering maple syrup! This fun-filled event features live entertainment, delicious food, ice activities and of course, maple syrup e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
  • Black Creek Pioneer Village (March 16-22)
    Take a trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village and time travel back to Toronto in the 1800s, exploring customs, artifacts and history of the early Toronto settlers. The Village is also offering a special March Break adventure to help hunt for clues and solve a mystery with Sherlock Holmes!
